Tarasca is the most award-winning show celebrating Canarian roots music, an immersive theatrical experience that transforms the archipelago's cultural heritage into a living language. Through body, rhythm and material, the piece weaves a collective narrative about memory, labour and Canarian identity.
Structured in three acts — El Hogar (The Home), La Tierra (The Land) and La Mar (The Sea) — the show brings to life the quiet, repeated gestures that shaped the human landscape of the islands: kneading bread, sowing fields, mending clothes, fishing. A true choreography of survival created by Compañía Pieles.
With drums that open a circular sense of time, and a staging where bodies, wood, clay and water intertwine, Tarasca invites the audience to stop watching and start inhabiting the scene. Experience this immersive show at the Auditorio Infanta Leonor in Los Cristianos.
